In Theaters July 29, 2011 The Smurfs make their first 3D trip to the big screen in Columbia Pictures’/Sony Pictures Animation’s hybrid live-action and animated family comedy, The Smurfs. I’ve booked a hostel in Belgrade for two nights too so it will be a lazy few days. I’ve also been looking at the route beyond that. Its gets much trickier as the number of Danube bridges and crossings falls dramatically. In addition it becomes an international border again so you only get crossing points where the countries will pay for customs facilities etc. On the other hand I’m within a few maps of Sofia. I really need a bigger scale map; 1:800 000 is a bit hard to navigate by and doesn’t show the mountains adequately. I ended up with a 1:500000 which covers the area. Its a bit better and as roads are fairly sparce it should be ok. Its also illustrated that I’m running out of time. As Serbian railways don’t carry bikes I’ll have to ride it out of the country. Which suggests getting over the border, leaving the bike and luggage at a hotel, getting the train to Sofia (5hrs) then catching the overnight train to Istanbul. Sounds ok except I have to get tickets for this…sighs. The currency here has notes for most transactions; the smallest being the equivalent of a 20p note. As you can imagine these get used a fair bit and having lots of notes is normal. In …

I discovered later that the 00 guitar was severely damaged. They didnt deny the experience occurred but for nine months the various people I communicated with put the responsibility for dealing with the damage on everyone other than themselves and finally said they would do nothing to compensate me for my loss. So I promised the last person to finally say no to compensation (Ms. Irlweg) that I would write and produce three songs about my experience with United Airlines and make videos for each to be viewed online by anyone in the world. Original “butterfly” version now posted in my videos. Berlin’s top DJ and all round good egg tries to be cool in the sweltering heat of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. This is the PG version. The X rated version features butterflies on Paul’s face…he didn’t like the butterflies much. The true stars of this video are obviosly the two young girls playing football (Up the Boro), and the beach at Xpuha….sadly that is now home to an all inclusive resort (booo hisss).
